Hummingbird Migration Sale

Hummingbird Migration Sale

Save 10% on all Hummingbird Feeders, Nectar and accessories

Please keep in mind that feeding Hummingbirds is a commitment. There are basically two rules to always follow:

  1. You must keep your feeders clean from bacteria which can be harmful to hummingbirds.
  2. You must be vigilant about changing the nectar regularly (every 3 to 4 days) to keep it from spoiling. You must change it more often on very hot summer days.  You will never have an issue with black mold in the feeder if proper care is taken. If possible, hang your feeders in a shaded area as this will help to slow down the fermentation process.

Do not use nectar with red dye as this might be harmful to the hummers.

If you encounter problems with ants, bees or wasps never use pesticides or petroleum based products on your feeders.  Just stop by the store, and we will be happy to help.  We have compiled an abundance of reliable information on how to combat these issues.  We also have ant moats that can be added to your feeders.

Please be sure to email me debbie@birdchat.com when you spot the first hummer at your feeder.  I will post the information on the Wild About Birds Facebook page!

Sale ends April 25!
